So, at an art show I was involved with last Thursday I was approached by 3-4 people who represented either private collections of galleries, and were interested in my work. This was fantastic, EXCEPT I had neither business cards nor a website they could go to to see more of my work. This is especially embarrassing since I am a Flash programmer professionally.

Anyway, I still don't have business cards, but the website issue has been rectified. Check it out at:

damn, you've got a great gallery! I really like your style and your motivation you present with the drawings and the procedure of getting better with each drawing you make. Do you also attend an art school? Or are you self thought? Sorry to bother with these questions but I'm very interested into you, since I'd like to reach that style and that feeling your drawings have. And the problem is, I've got a long way to go :D.

I did go to school for art. Just this spring I graduated from UCF. The school itself is... ok... but I was extremely surprised and impressed with their art staff. I think teaching yourself can only get you so far, at SOME point it is great to have a little direction and instruction to point out things in your work you may have never noticed before. There is no way I would be where I am now if it were not for great professors and being instructed.

I do, however, take issue with you referring to my work as having a 'style.' I totally understand what you mean, but I feel like using the term 'style' implies that I make a conscious effort to 'stylize' or make the image match others of a certain type... like manga or something (shudder). I do not think about styles at all when I draw, and usually never even start 2 drawings the same way. I draw the only way my hand knows how, heh. :)

Thank you for this satisfactory comment :). You sure motivated me even more than I already am on getting into an art school. I think I agree with you, that there is a need for some instructions in an artists development.

You definitely have a point with my incorrect expressing on style. But as i said. Just expressing :D. What i had in my mind is, what i really don't know how to explain, some kind of emotional content, even though the drawings don't have such content, i think their primary function isn't to stir up such emotions, but somehow they have a felling that makes me like them :D. And what makes me like them is one more time, your "style", or better said, i like your hand haha. :D

I'll try to dig some stuff up. The only thing I did art related when I was that young was occasionally sketch a superhero or other such thing in a sketchbook. I think you will be very disappointed when you see how horrible they were... or maybe you will be happy... could go either way, heh.

It's always nice for me to see someone that is still passioned in the realistic drawing, no matter Michelangelo and Leonardo, who are maybe the best in the human body...
